Attacking SEO the Right Way

SEO has the primary goal of driving traffic to a specific website or webpage but the approach that one takes in achieving this end goal has changed over time to one that is far more user-centric.

Traditionally, SEO has been aimed at identifying a specific query and then figuring out how to rank for said query.  Thanks to Google, proper Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is changing so that you must take the perspective of the user and identify how to best answer the question(s) that prospective customers may have about various aspects of the products/service your business offers.

At first glance, this may seem like semantics so let me explain.

Search Engines want to websites to provide valuable, relevant content in order ‘help’ them provide the very best answers to user queries possible.  They want websites to not only optimize for various simple queries, they want websites to build content that is relevant enough to answer more complex questions that users have.

This is yet another example of how SEO in Kitchener and SEO in Waterloo, or other areas for that matter, needs to be done properly in order to appease search engines in a manner where they won’t ‘penalize’ your website.  I would encourage you to take the time to invest in knowing what a proper SEO program should incorporate in order to save yourself time, energy and most importantly, money, down the road for your Kitchener-Waterloo and area business.
