3 Elements of Search Engine Optimization
Although Google takes into consideration approximately 250 items when determining how important your website is, they can all be grouped into the following elements:
- Proper Website Design/Architecture – a website needs to be constructed in such a way that any of the search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) can easily determine the message & relevancy of a website
- Website Copy/Content – ‘Content is King’… this industry refrain embodies the fact that the actual text, the amount, the quality, where it is and how it is written, are all taken into consideration in determining how important/relevant a webpage is
- Incoming Links/Backlinks – these are the points of reference search engines use to determine if others feel your website is of value
The backbone of all these items is proper research. Without it, dappling in these various areas can cloud the picture search engines have of your site, which leads to them dropping you further down the search results.
Although you can work on a number of these items yourself as a business owner, it may be best to have a professional deal with such a matter. If it is worth doing, it is worth doing right.
